We live tracked over the course of 6 days and I'm still in complete disbelief over what I was able to give of myself. No one but Zachariah at the helm of the ship could have drawn such musical fire from my chest, and I am forever grateful.

Dear Great North,

I am madly in love, the kind that reminds you how precious and beautiful life is at its heartbeat, how much can be felt with every breath, how inspiring the world can be. I am forever changed, and a better person than I was. I am so grateful that our golden threads have crossed and woven a web I shall never forget. I must leave now but a piece of my heart, perhaps the best piece, will stay, drifting from room to room, following the sweetness of melodies made. May there always be another, breath, star and song.

Yours,

Shawnee

Big Giant Me was the first single they released that year, and Back to Eden the second in March 2016. The title track also inspired a gorgeous music video, directed by Whedon, including actress Ashley Johnson and Oscar nominated actor Richard Jenkins, to be released after November 8th.

"It's time to live the life I'm given
time to give what I've been asking for"

I am so grateful for the magic and talent and love of the musicians who came together to be a part of this beautiful experiment with me, and the brilliant community that joyously breathed life into its lungs. You believe in me, and I believe in you. Thank you.

this is a collection of time and energy and life shared by william and i, and we’ve both agreed it’s about as true to us as it can be. my songs, but our efforts, our breath. the first six were written during my first few months in austin, while “burning 44” was written by my good friend, stephen ray leslie, and, well, it seems i just so happened to bring it with me.

Second Hand Dress

this album was recorded at dirt floor studio in chester, connecticut with eric lichter. says lichter of the album, "it's just brilliant, and wobbly, and worn in like a favorite sweater in the cold winter." the actual recording time of the album was very short, lending itself to many magic moments, impromptu musicians and parts, and raw first takes.

my debut certainly feels like a long time ago now, but making this album opened up some tremendous doors for me.....i was perhaps happier than i had ever been sitting in lorne entress's basement studio making a little piece of my history. lorne doesn't mess around; if it's worth doing then it's worth doing right, and i really appreciate that now
